Zoom Participant Limit
The Zoom platform attracts users for many reasons, one of which is the ability to organize video meetings for free. This function is available at the basic account immediately after registration. But in this mode, it is very limited, for example, the maximum duration of an online conversation is 40 minutes. And that’s not all. Also, the maximum number of people in Zoom is not infinite. What are the limits imposed by the developer?
A host with a basic account can create a meeting and invite up to 100 people to it. These one hundred participants are the basic limitation that the creators of the platform declare on the official website. As we mentioned earlier, the duration, in this case, is limited to 40 minutes.
Is it possible to increase the number of concurrent users in a video conference? This opportunity is provided by the developers, but you need to switch to a paid account.
Tariff for these purposes is «Pro» with a standard price of $14.99 for 30 days. And for it, you need to connect an additional option called «Large Meeting». There are two variants:
- 500 participants – $50 for 30 days.
- 1000 – 90 dollars every month
Moreover, to these amounts, you need to add the monthly price of the «Pro» tariff itself. If this option suits you, then check out our article «How to pay for Zoom».
Now you know how many people can connect to a Zoom online meeting on a basic account. One hundred participants is a considerable number, which in most cases will be more than enough. And if this is not enough, then you will have to switch to a paid tariff. But this option is not suitable for everyone, because the prices for subscriptions in Zoom are not cheap.
